Ajax come into the decider as runaway Eredivisie leaders, though they did exit the Europa League at the hands of Roma on Thursday.
Vitesse are enjoying an excellent season themselves, and are in the running for a European spot next season.
Ten Hag is keen for his side to put their midweek quarter-final disappointment behind them, and is expecting a stiff challenge at De Kuip.
“The most important thing now is the cup. I notice from my players that they really want to go for it,” ten Hag said, per ESPN.
“At Ajax you have the chance to come on this podium often and they will be aware of that at Vitesse.
“It is an exceptionally good team. The revelation of this Eredivisie season. They have won from all top teams, except Ajax.”
The Amsterdam outfit have injury doubts over Devyne Rensch (knee) and Sean Klaiber (knock).
Victory would see them lift the trophy for the 20th time.
