Defender Erika has publicly criticised Corinthians over a lack of transparency with the women’s squad about match venues. The comments came after a 2-2 draw with Fluminense at Neo Química Arena, against a backdrop of recent runners-up finishes and Lucas Piccinato’s sacking.

According to Meu Timao, speaking in the mixed zone she called the uncertainty frustrating, saying players often have no clear notice of where they will play. She said the Itaquera fixture was learned via the media immediately after the Supercopa do Brasil.

Erika added that the squad feel stuck in limbo before training sessions and matches, and that women’s football is not a priority at the club, something they already know but would like to change. She said she was told by reporters they would use Neo Química Arena and that information still does not reach the group as it should.

The Brabas cannot stage night games at Alfredo Schürig, the Fazendinha, which has been barred for evening fixtures since May 2025 because of lighting failures that remain unresolved. The planned upgrade has been put at more than R$ 10 million, with the board seeking partners to fund it.

Corinthians have alternated home matches between Canindé, Pacaembu, Neo Química Arena and José Liberatti. The stated preference now is to use their own Casa do Povo whenever possible.

The Brabas visit Palmeiras on 13 March at Arena Barueri in round three of the Brasileirão Feminino, with top spot on the line.
