Ermedin Demirovic vows to buy beer for whole Stuttgart stadium after Bosnia qualify

Ermedin Demirovic says he will buy a beer for every supporter at Stuttgart after Bosnia and Herzegovina reached the World Cup by beating Italy on penalties.

On the eve of the play-off final, the 28-year-old striker pledged that if Bosnia qualified for the World Cup he would purchase a beer for the entire Stuttgart stadium, his current club, according to L'Équipe.

Bosnia and Herzegovina drew 1-1 with Italy, then won 4-1 on penalties to clinch their place.

After the match he made clear he would pick up the tab, saying he keeps his word and acknowledging it would be costly, but that he would do it gladly.

The promise has thrilled the 54,906 supporters at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, who now await him to follow through.
