The third day of the III VCF Academy World Cup was a rollercoaster of emotions, bringing to a close this U12 tournament that has brought together teams from America, Asia and Europe at the Valencia CF Ciutat Esportiva.

The biggest emotions came in the final that pitted VCF Academy Canada against Escoles VCF. These two teams had already shown their potential in the group stage by finishing first and second respectively. They showed it again in the quarter and semi-finals where Escoles VCF beat VCF Academy Cyprus in a very close match that was decided by a single goal when it seemed to go to penalties. At the same time, VCF Academy Canada won 3-1 against VCF Camps Benelux showing a great solidity.

In the final, the Escoles VCF team beat VCF Academy Canada, the only team in the tournament that had managed to score a goal against them and who again showed a great performance in this VCF Academy World Cup in which they reached the semi-finals last season.

The awards ceremony brought to a close the III VCF Academy World Cup which has been consolidated as a sporting and multicultural meeting point, as a great experience for the young players and also for their families who have completed a week of fun, learning, deepening in the values and methodology of the VCF Academy as well as enjoying the city of Valencia, its gastronomy, its weather and its beach.

The 2024 edition was the third edition of the VCF Academy World Cup, which is consolidating itself as a benchmark tournament for the different U12 teams from around the world, most of which are linked to the different international projects that Valencia CF carries out through the VCF Academy Programs, which help to expand the Valencia CF brand and what its colours symbolise worldwide. This Internationalisation Strategy has been a finalist in the World Football Summit Awards 2023.

In 2023, more than 5000 players and 400 coaches from more than 50 countries around the world participated in the different VCF Academy Programs to learn more about the playing methodology of the VCF Academy, the fourth-best in Europe in player development to compete at the top flight
