Estádio do Dragão is set to break its single-season attendance record this campaign.
According to O Jogo, the 24th home match of 2025/26, against Nottingham Forest, drew more than 40,000 and pushed the season total past 1,000,000, a feat previously achieved only in 2010/11, 2017/18 and 2018/19.
With at least four further home dates, against Tondela, Sporting, Alverca and Santa Clara, a new high is guaranteed by a wide margin. Only 42,872 are needed to match the 2018/19 benchmark of 1,047,625 across 27 games.
Demand is unprecedented, with a waiting list for season tickets for the first time since the ground opened. The current average is the highest on record, 41,864 per game.
As the season enters decisive stages, attendances should remain high, with a clássico still ahead and matches that could be crowning occasions for the team. Under André Villas-Boas, supporter mobilisation has reached new heights, with 83.7 per cent occupancy, rising to almost 90 per cent in the league.
