Estrela da Amadora sign 22-year-old Beni Souza from Benfica

Estrela da Amadora have signed French-Congolese winger Beni Souza from Benfica. The 22-year-old arrives after a year of progression in Portuguese football.

Souza joined Benfica in 2024/25 and featured for the B team, making 11 competitive appearances and supplying one assist. A Bola first reported the negotiations.

He then spent a loan spell at Académica, where he enjoyed a standout season with 29 games, seven goals and three assists.

His displays came as Briosa sealed promotion from Liga 3 to Liga 2, returning to professional competition.

Several clubs tracked the young attacker, but Estrela’s SAD, led by Paulo Lopo, moved quickly to secure him ahead of rival interest. Souza now heads to Reboleira aiming to establish himself in Liga Portugal and build on last season’s promise.
