Ethan Nwaneri joins Borussia Dortmund on season-long loan | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old midfielder joins the Bundesliga side without a purchase option and will spend the 2026/27 campaign in Germany as he looks to gain regular first-team football.

Nwaneri has been with Arsenal since the age of eight and made history in September 2022 when, aged just 15 years and 181 days, he became the youngest player to appear in the Premier League.

The England Under-21 international enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in 2024/25, making 37 appearances across all competitions and scoring his first Arsenal goals in the Carabao Cup against Bolton.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille, making 11 appearances in all competitions.

Dortmund moved for Nwaneri after suffering a major blow with new signing Giannis Konstantelias ruled out with a serious knee injury.
