We also went into the latest international break three points clear at the top of the Barclays Women’s Super League table on the back of an eight-match winning run.

Victories over West Ham United, Everton and Manchester United continued that fine form, while we also qualified for the League Cup knockout stages with victory over Nottingham Forest.

It was a magnificent month, but who out of our three-player shortlist do you feel deserves to take home November’s prize?

Voting is now open, with the winner announced next week!

Kerstin Casparij

The Dutch defender has stepped in as captain in the absence of Alex Greenwood and probably delivered her most consistent season to date at City.

Helping the Blues grab our first clean sheet of the season against West Ham, Kerstin followed that display up with a battling performance at Everton, but her real standout came in the derby, with two assists en route to a 3-0 win at the Etihad Stadium.

The first of those saw Casparij deliver an inch-perfect cross for Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw to double our advantage, forcing Safia Middleton-Patel off her line only for the Jamaican to steal in and tap home.

Kerstin has shone in a more advanced role this season, and her six goal involvements are double that of any other WSL defender so far this season.

Jade Rose

Her second successive time on the shortlist, the Canada international’s fine start to life at City continued in November.

The Blues kept three clean sheets in four matches, with Rose an ever-present across each of those fixtures from centre-half.

Jade stood up to the challenge in her first Manchester derby alongside Rebecca Knaak to keep Elisabeth Terland and Melvine Malard quiet, who’d grabbed seven goals between them in their first eight WSL appearances this season.

At just 22, Rose has become a key figure at the heart of the City defence.

Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw

With two goals and two assists across four matches in November, Shaw once again leads the way in the City and WSL scoring charts.

The two-time Golden Boot winner added to her tally with a headed winner against Everton at Goodison Park before adding our second in a 3-0 win over Manchester United the following week.

Setting up Knaak for the opener at the Etihad also ensured the Jamaican now has more goal involvements than any other player in Manchester derby history, and she then provided for Grace Clinton with a deft backheel against Nottingham Forest.

There’s much more to Shaw’s game than goals, though, with her energy and presence up front providing a constant and essential outlet for City.
