Bilal El Khannouss and Badredine Bouanani steered VfB Stuttgart to victory over Celta Vigo on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the MHP Arena. The Moroccan international and the Algerian netted both goals in this 2-1 triumph on the opening night of the Europa League.

Badredine Bouanani broke the deadlock in the 51st minute after latching onto a long ball from Alexander Nübel. The Algerian winger took full advantage of the space, chipping the advancing goalkeeper Radu. Making his first European start for Stuttgart, Bouanani opened his account in his new colors.

Bilal El Khannouss doubled the lead in the 68th minute. After a short corner routine with Stiller, the Moroccan midfielder fired a low shot from the edge of the box. This goal capped off his impressive start to the season, coming just days after finding the net in the Bundesliga against St. Pauli.

Celta Vigo pulled one back late on. Borja Iglesias capitalized on a poor clearance from Karazor to score in the 86th minute, making it 2-1. Despite the scare, Stuttgart held firm to secure all three points at the final whistle.
