Clubs in England and across Europe are considering moves for Mateus Mane this summer, ExpressAndStar.com understands.

Rob Edwards has been sacked, and Cesar Peixoto is set to take charge ahead of a rebuild for the upcoming Championship season. That plan was expected to include Mane, and Wolves remain determined to keep him.

Newcastle retain a long-standing interest and are weighing up a summer move. Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt are monitoring the situation and could act, while Juventus have shown strong interest but their finances are unclear. Several leading clubs have enquired about his availability.

It has been suggested that a fee of at least £30million would be required to tempt Wolves, although that figure could shift after relegation and the coaching change. Even so, the club are very keen for him to be part of next season's promotion bid.

Mane broke through under Edwards, starting 14 consecutive Premier League matches after an eye-catching full debut at Anfield in December. He then scored in back-to-back games against West Ham and Everton, drawing worldwide attention.

Form dipped briefly later in the campaign, but he finished strongly in the final home match as Wolves drew with Fulham. Since the season ended, he has been training in Portugal to stay in peak condition.

Before leaving, Edwards said publicly that Mane would stay next season, and the player hinted the same in an interview. Those signals now sit against reports of players unhappy with the sudden managerial change.
