Juventus are interested in signing Axel Disasi this month as they look to bring in a new centre back according to reports in Italy.

The Blues were expected to be quiet in the January window, but with defensive injuries to Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana, their plans have seeming changed.

Outgoings are the main priority with the club hoping to move on a number of players including the likes of Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei.

Juventus interested in Disasi

Another player linked with a Chelsea departure is Disasi, who the Blues signed for £38.8m from Monaco in the summer of 2023.

The 26-year-old featured prominently under Mauricio Pochettino last season, making 44 appearances in all competitions but it’s been a different story under Enzo Maresca.

Disasi is fifth choice centre back when everyone is fit, and with the emergence of Josh Acheampong he’s arguably dropped another place down the pecking order.

The Frenchman has started just four Premier League games and his performances have been a source of frustration for fans, whilst Jason Cundy hasn’t been impressed with the defender.

If the Blues are to bring another centre back in, and they are interested in Marc Guehi, then one of the current crop need to leave with Disasi the most obvious candidate.

Chelsea are thought to be open to offers for the the France international, although it’s unclear what the club’s valuation is.

Italian outlet Di Marzio have reported Juventus are interested in Disasi and Chelsea have opened up the possibility of a loan deal with an obligation to buy linked to the number of appearances made.

The report adds Disasi is being looked at as a possible second defender for the Italian giants to buy and they are also interested in Benfica’s Antonio Silva and Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo.

Moving Disasi on would open up space in the squad to allow Chelsea to move for another centre back and his departure holds the key to Chelsea being able to strengthen at centre back.
