Evan Ferguson, the Brighton and Republic of Ireland international striker is apparently going to be made available for a loan move in the January transfer window, according to The Telegraph.
That news is bound to appeal to more than a few clubs, but will our club be one of those interested?
Ferguson is a highly regarded prospect who’s rated in the £60 million bracket, and with his ties to the Republic of Ireland it’s a cert he will be linked with Celtic.

The question is do we need another striker and more importantly would Brendan Rodgers be interested?
I myself would be in favour of signing such a prospect, even for such a short period with no realistic option to buy. With yet more gruelling games to come this season and the realistic prospect of advancing in the champions league, having the more quality players to rely on will only make us stronger.
Brendan is always looking for quality, and a player such as Ferguson could well be on his high list of priorities come the opening of the January transfer window.
