Everton produced a stunning late comeback to hand Crystal Palace their first defeat in 19 matches, with Jack Grealish grabbing a dramatic 93rd-minute winner at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Toffees looked off the pace for much of the first half as Palace, unbeaten since April, controlled proceedings and threatened repeatedly.
Daniel Muñoz eventually broke the deadlock in the 37th minute, steering home Ismaïla Sarr’s low cross after the winger found space down the right flank.
Jordan Pickford, making his 300th Premier League appearance, kept Everton in it with a string of key saves, while Tyrick Mitchell rattled the post as Palace pushed for a second.
The hosts offered little before the break, with Dean Henderson comfortably stopping Grealish’s one clear opening.
David Moyes’ side emerged far sharper after the restart, showing more intent and urgency. Substitutes Tyler Dibling and Thierno Barry injected energy, and the Merseysiders finally found their rhythm. Carlos Alcaraz forced Henderson into a fine save, and the growing pressure eventually told.
In the 76th minute, Everton were handed a lifeline when Tim Iroegbunam was tripped by Maxence Lacroix inside the area. Iliman Ndiaye stepped up and coolly converted the penalty, sending Henderson the wrong way to level the scores.
Palace still looked dangerous on the counter, with Jean-Philippe Mateta twice going close, but Everton sensed an opportunity. Deep into stoppage time, Beto’s header was brilliantly saved by Henderson - only for the rebound to ricochet off Grealish and over the line. The stadium erupted as the on-loan midfielder marked his first Everton goal in dramatic fashion.
The win keeps Everton unbeaten at their new home on the Mersey and lifts them up to seventh in the Premier League table heading into the international break. For Palace, the end of their remarkable unbeaten run will sting, but Oliver Glasner’s side can still take heart from another strong performance despite the late heartbreak.
