In the opening exchanges, it was the visitors who carved out opportunities, with Pascal Struijk blazing an effort high and wide and former Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin seeing an effort cleared.

Just shy of the 30-minute mark, Leeds finally broke the deadlock as the broke down the right flank and managed to get a dangerous ball into the box, which was turned into the net by James Justin.

Scorers: Barry (76'); Justin (28')

Before the break, Calvert-Lewin came close to finding the net as he met a cross from Jayden Bogle, but instead struck the post.

On his return from the Africa Cup of Nations, Iliman Ndiaye was effective for the Toffees as he carved out a handful of chances early in the second half.

Everton kept probing and eventually found the equaliser through Thierno Barry as he got ahead of the Leeds defenders to turn a low cross into the back of the net.

The Toffees forward has now scored four goals in his last five Premier League matches, which is a vast improvement on the one goal scored in his first 18 outings this season.

Despite five minutes of additional team at the end of the 90 minutes, neither side was able to find that all important winner and the spoils were ultimately shared.
