Everton have completed the loan signing of Freiburg midfielder Merlin Röhl in a deal that includes a conditional obligation to make the move permanent for €20m.
The 23-year-old had been on the Toffees' radar for the last 12 months, preceding David Moyes' return to the club, and has now been snapped up on deadline day, further bolstering their midfield options.
Röhl, capped 13 times at U21 level for Germany, departs Freiburg after making 58 appearances across three seasons for the Bundesliga club.
He becomes Everton's ninth and final signing of a hugely promising window, with the likes of Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall making a big impact in blue.
