Everton are plotting a big deal for one of West Ham United's star players
West Ham United are susceptible to losing players following their relegation from the Premier League to the Championship, and Everton are plotting a big move for one of the Hammers' most sought-after assets.
Nuno Espirito Santo's side are keen to win promotion back to the top flight at the first time of asking, but they must also utilise the summer transfer window to bolster their finances.
Key West Ham players like Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville are among those who have attracted external admirers in the transfer market, courtesy of their previous Premier League efforts.
Meanwhile, Summerville is enjoying a strong World Cup, having notched two goals and one assist in two tournament appearances for the Netherlands.

Jarrod Bowen has established himself as a West Ham hero since moving to the London Stadium from Hull City in January 2020.
The 22-cap England international scored the winning goal when the Hammers defeated Fiorentina in the 2023 Conference League final, etching himself into the East London club's history books.
Bowen was a shining light for Espirito Santo's side in an otherwise poor campaign last term, scoring nine goals and registering 11 assists in 38 Premier League appearances.
The 29-year-old notched a goal and an assist when West Ham beat Leeds United 3-0 on the last day of the top-flight season, but it wasn't enough to help his side avoid relegation, because rivals Tottenham Hotspur successfully got the better of Everton.
Now, according to Alan Nixon on Patreon, Toffees boss David Moyes, formerly of the Hammers, is pushing hard for his side to land a £20million move for Bowen.
The report adds that Everton know they may lose Senegalese star Iliman Ndiaye, and think Bowen would be an ideal replacement out wide if he were to depart the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Ndiaye produced an assist when Senegal lost 3-1 to France in their opening World Cup game, and will likely feature for his nation in their upcoming group stage clashes with Norway and Iraq.

Bowen has established himself as a modern-day West Ham hero and will find it difficult to turn his back on a fanbase that has huge respect and admiration for him.
Furthermore, the winger's wife, Dani Dyer, is the daughter of celebrity Hammers supporter Danny Dyer, adding to his ties with the London Stadium outfit.
However, Bowen has proven over the years that he is good enough to consistently perform in the Premier League, meaning he should not entertain staying with Espirito Santo's men in the Championship.
England's next major tournament beyond the current World Cup is the European Championship in 2028, and Bowen theoretically has enough time to get himself back into the Three Lions squad ahead of the Euros, even if he has a season in the second tier.
But the winger should be keen to earn as many England appearances as possible in his career, and needs to return to the Premier League to re-establish his chances of international selection.
Furthermore, Moyes got the best out of Bowen at West Ham, and the 29-year-old must be eager to reunite with the former Hammers boss at Everton.
