The Toffees are experiencing a busy transfer deadline day with several incomings and outgoings on their plate.

David Moyes has already sanctioned the departures of Tim Iroegbunam, Nathan Patterson and Beto, while Jack Grealish is preparing to return to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Moyes appears to want more bite in midfield, especially with Irogebunam heading for Hull City, and his focus has turned to Serie A.

Belgian midfielder Keita, on the books at Parma, has been linked with a move to the Premier League before in the ongoing window with Daniel Farke’s Leeds United among his suitors, but nothing has materialised since then.

It was suggested that Keita is in favour of a move to the Premier League this summer and he might get his wish fulfilled with Everton now keen on him.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Everton are holding talks with the Italian outfit for Keita’s signature.

The Belgian midfielder joined Parma from Royal Antwerp in the summer of 2024 and he has been a mainstay in their midfield.

He has three years left on his current deal with the Italian side and it remains to be seen whether Parma will be ready to sanction his departure so late in this window.

Roma, who share the same ownership with Everton, are also keen on securing Keita’s signature.

Everton have brought in Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough and Christian Norgaard from Arsenal to add to their midfield this season after the departure of Idrissa Gueye.

The 24-year-old’s addition to the midfield will provide Moyes with more options but with the transfer deadline approaching, they will be in a race against time to get the deal for Keita over the line on time.
