Everton’s pre-season campaign began on a positive note as they ran out 2-1 winners over Nyon.

But Nyon snatched a late consolation in the closing stages as Dylan Dugourd volleyed past third-choice goalkeeper João Virgínia.

Everton face Wigan, Bolton and Stoke City before welcoming Sporting Lisbon to Goodison Park for their final summer friendly.
