Chukwueze has shown flashes of brilliance during his two-year stint with the seven-time Champions League winners but has struggled to nail down a starting berth.
Milan manager Paulo Fonseca will likely point to his poor end product as a reason for favouring Christian Pulisic. He has bagged seven goals and five assists in 15 appearances this season.
By contrast, Chukwueze has only managed one goal and an assist. His dribbling is exciting, and he can bamboozle defenders with his fleet-footedness.
However, he doesn’t always seem to make the right decisions after those mazy dribbles, leaving teammates and fans frustrated.
The former Villarreal man reportedly wants a team where he can start games consistently, and Everton are in contention to sign him.
Besiktas are also eager to add him to their ranks. They are already ten points behind table-toppers Galatasaray and are keen on signing players to help them close that gap.
He is leaning towards joining Besiktas due to the presence of fellow Nigerian international teammate Victor Osimhen in Turkey. He is currently on loan to Galatasaray from Napoli.
The 25-year-old is a direct threat and could give the Toffees another dimension in attack.
If Everton manager Sean Dyche can get him firing on all cylinders, he could be a top acquisition that serves the club for years.
