A post on X claimed Everton sent club representatives to Istanbul to table a £35 million offer for Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz. The 26-year-old has become a leading target as they seek high-impact wide attackers ahead of the new Premier League season.

Everton view Yilmaz as a versatile, high-energy option who can operate on either flank or press through the middle.

Galatasaray are holding out for around €45 million to €50 million, with a 20% sell-on clause owed to Ankara Keçiörengücü shaping their stance.

Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham, along with AS Monaco, have registered interest with the player’s camp. Everton have taken the most concrete step by opening direct club-to-club talks in Istanbul.

Yilmaz posted 30 Süper Lig appearances, 8 goals and 11 assists last season, plus one UEFA Champions League goal. He has featured for Türkiye at Euro 2024 and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
