Everton ‘to renegotiate’ Folarin Balogun deal with Monaco | OneFootball

Everton have revived their pursuit of AS Monaco striker Folarin Balogun and are confident of closing a revised deal to sign the United States international, The Athletic reports.

There had been doubts over the €50m agreement between the clubs, with the forward understood to have failed a medical with the Premier League side.

Everton then scrambled to find a replacement for Manchester City-bound Iliman Ndiaye. They contacted Manchester United regarding Joshua Zirkzee, but their offer was rejected.

Talks over Balogun are now focused on a lower fixed transfer fee and higher performance-related bonuses.

The former Arsenal striker has spent three years at Monaco and is under contract until 2028. He has played 91 games for the club, scoring 31 goals.
