On Tuesday night, Everton U21s travel to Victoria Park to take on Hartlepool Utd in their first National League Cup Group C encounter. 

The kick-off was delayed for 20 minutes due to 'unforeseen circumstances', with Braiden Graham demoted back to the U21s after his fruitless flirtation with the senior bench as an unused sub on Sunday against Manchester United.

Soon after it did finally kick off, Rocco Lambert scored a great goal after just 8 minutes from a fantastic long pass out of the back by Gardner to give the Young Blues a lead they would take through to half-time.
