Everton welcome Nottingham Forest to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, looking to build on a vital midweek victory.
The Toffees ended a worrying winless run with a 1-0 triumph at Bournemouth on Tuesday. Now, David Moyes desperately wants to improve his side’s home form against his predecessor, Sean Dyche. Unfortunately, the hosts have struggled badly on their own patch recently. In fact, they suffered heavy defeats to Tottenham and Newcastle in their last two home outings.
However, they face a Forest side against whom they hold a strong recent record. Everton lost just two of their last 11 meetings with the Tricky Trees. Therefore, they view this as a prime opportunity to climb into the top half of the table.
David Moyes navigates a suspension crisis in midfield. Key starter Idrissa Gueye remains banned. Additionally, Tim Iroegbunam joins him on the sidelines after collecting his fifth booking midweek. Consequently, the manager may deploy Charly Alcaraz in a deeper role alongside Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
In defence, an injury rules out Michael Keane. This means Jake O’Brien partners James Tarkowski. Up front, Thierno Barry likely gets the nod ahead of Beto. The in-form Jack Grealish supports him. Finally, James Garner continues at right-back due to the ongoing absence of Nathan Patterson.
Everton predicted XI: Pickford; Garner, O’Brien, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Dewsbury-Hall, Alcaraz; Ndiaye, McNeil, Grealish; Barry
