Everton have Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu on their list of targets this summer, according to former Sky Sports journalist and Toffees insider Alan Myers.
Everton manager David Moyes wants more quality recruitment ahead of the new season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium club, and the Foxes star has emerged as an option.
The 21-year-old got ruled out for the 2024-25 season with a knee injury last November but has recently returned to action for the Championship club.
Fatawu could now be returning immediately to the Premier League as the Toffees could look to swoop before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
He boasts ‘real quality’ and Everton could do with his services in the final third with a move for Southampton winger Tyler Dibling proving tricky.
The Blues have had three bids rejected for the 19-year-old, with the Saints insisting suitors must part with an initial £45 million and another £5m in easily achievable bonuses.
They also want a 25 per cent sell-on clause included in any deal and Everton appear to have moved on to other targets.
The Toffees have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish on loan, but they want more than one attacker from the look of things and getting the England international and Fatawu could be huge.
The Ghana international can play on both wings, with dribbling, passing, crossing, holding on the ball and playing through balls some of his major strengths.
He will not cost up to £40m, but Leicester could be unwilling to sell such a player as he could be key to their chances of securing immediate Premier League promotion.
Everton are now likely to reach out to his representatives and ask whether he would be keen to join them, and more updates could emerge in the coming days.
