FLW have outlined all 38 players from the EFL that are going to the FIFA 2026 World Cup in North America this summer...
The FIFA World Cup in USA begins in the next few weeks, with the EFL represented at the tournament with no fewer than 38 players across the three divisions of 72 sides.
The play-offs in League Two, League One, and the Championship are all finalised and the teams are in place for the 2026/27 EFL season, which includes the likes of West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers dropping down for the first time in years, and York City coming up out of the National League as well.
The season just ended has delivered everything supporters could have hoped for. From promotion races and relegation battles to breakout stars and established names continuing to shine, the EFL has once again proven why it remains one of the most compelling competitions in world football.
Yet, with the domestic campaign now complete, there is no need for football fans to suffer a lengthy wait before the next major spectacle.
This summer's FIFA World Cup takes centre stage, ensuring the momentum of the football calendar rolls on uninterrupted. But just who is going? We have taken a look at all of the players, here.

Hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico, the expanded 48-team tournament promises more matches, more nations, and more stories than ever before. For a number of EFL players, it is the opportunity to represent their countries on the biggest stage. For some, it will be capping off what has already been a memorable season.
Per Sky Sports, one of the clubs most represented is West Ham. The Hammers have five players headed to North America, with Tomas Soucek (Czechia) joined by Issa Diop (Morocco), Crysencio Summerville (Netherlands), El Hadji Malick Diouf (Senegal), and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (DR Congo).
Hee-chan Hwang (South Korea), Ladislav Krejci (Czechia), Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (Haiti), David Moller Wolfe (Norway), Sasa Kalajdzic (Austria), and Jose Sa (Portugal) are all representing Wolves at the tournament.
Burnley have five players, with Lyle Foster (South Africa), Zeki Amdouni (Switzerland), Hjalmar Ekdal (Sweden), Hannibal Mejbri (Tunisia), and Axel Tuanzebe (DR Congo), while play-off losers Millwall and Middlesbrough have just Max Crocombe (New Zealand) and Sontje Hansen (Curacao) present.
Southampton's Ross Stewart (Scotland) is one of four players from the Championship in Steve Clarke's squad. Dom Hyam (Scotland) of Wrexham is one, with the Red Dragons also seeing Liberato Cacace (New Zealand) head out to face Belgium, Egypt, and Iran.
Jacob Widell Zetterstrom (Sweden) and Sondre Langas (Norway) are representing Derby County, while Kenny McLean (Scotland), and Anis Ben Slimane (Tunisia) are taking flight to represent Norwich City at the tournament.
Seung-ho Paik (South Korea) is Birmingham City's sole representative alongside Ji-sung Eom (South Korea) of Swansea City, with Marko Stamenic (New Zealand) their other representative. Tahith Chong (Curacao) is the only Sheffield United player as well.
Egil Selvik (Norway) and Edo Kayembe (DR Congo) are representing Watford, while Jun-ho Bae (South Korea) and Viktor Johansson (Sweden) are another pair from Stoke City. Meanwhile, Charlton Athletic's out of contract Lyndon Dykes (Scotland) is also on the plane.
From the Championship, there are a number of clubs without a player going to the tournament: Bristol City, Preston North End, QPR, Portsmouth, Blackburn Rovers, West Bromwich Albion, Bolton Wanderers, Lincoln City, and Cardiff City.
In League One, there is Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Jordan Ayew (both Ghana) from Leicester City. However, there is very little representation across the league, with Matt Garbett (New Zealand) of Peterborough United the only other confirmed player.
From League Two, Port Vale's Ben Waine (New Zealand) joins Garbett. Midfielder Ar'Jany Martha (Curacao) is jetting off from Rotherham United, but they are the only players from the fourth tier and both were playing in League One last term.

The total players across the EFL is 38 across 18 countries. New Zealand have Crocombe, Cacace, Stamenic, Garbett, and Waine with the most. Scotland have four via Stewart, Hyam, McLean, and Dykes alongside South Korea with Hwang, Paik, Eom, and Bae.
DR Congo are next with three in Wan-Bissaka, Tuanzebe, and Kayembe. Also with three includes the likes of Sweden via Ekdal, Zetterstrom, and Johansson, but also Norway with Wolfe, Langas, and Selvik.
Curacao also have three in Hansen, Chong, and Martha, Czechia are taking two recently relegated players in Soucek and Krejci, while Tunisia have two in Mejbri and Ben Slimane. Ghana's two Leicester boys are Fatawu and Ayew. Every other nation has just one, with Morocco and Diop, Netherlands and Summerville, and Senegal with Diouf.
