Premier League clubs have begun confirming summer business ahead of 2026-27, despite the window not yet being open. Early headlines include a key Leeds United rival losing an international striker and a former relegation foe signing a star defender.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the window opens on Monday, 15 June and closes at 11pm on Tuesday, 1 September. Agreements can be announced now for completion once trading begins.

Arsenal: no confirmed arrivals. Jakub Kiwior has joined Porto permanently after a loan, Karl Hein has signed for Werder Bremen on the same basis, and Samuel Onyekachukwu is among eight others released.

Aston Villa: no ins or outs confirmed.

Bournemouth have appointed Marco Rose as head coach. Marcos Senesi is leaving as his contract expires and is expected to sign for Tottenham, while Andoni Iraola has departed to become Liverpool’s new head coach.

Brentford have signed Jannik Schuster from Red Bull Salzburg for £17.2m. Reiss Nelson has returned to Arsenal at the end of his loan and Ryan Trevitt has been released.

Brighton have brought in Zadok Yohanna from AIK Stockholm for £21.5m. James Milner is retiring, and Solly March and Adam Webster are leaving as their contracts expire.

Chelsea have made no player moves but have appointed Xabi Alonso as head coach.
