Exeter City, Port Vale, Rotherham United and Northampton Town have dropped from League One. York City and Rochdale, both 100-point sides in the National League last season, rejoin the EFL.

The EFL Trophy group-stage draw is at 2.30pm, followed by the Carabao Cup round one draw at 4.30pm live on Sky Sports News.

Carabao Cup round one is scheduled for August 7-9. The league campaign begins over the weekend of August 14-16, and the EFL Trophy starts in the week commencing September 21.

This season is year three of the Sky Sports broadcast deal, with more than 1,000 matches to be shown live. TV selections will be confirmed in stages.

By July 2, picks will cover matches to the end of September. By July 31, they will run up to and including the weekend of January 8-11, 2027. A further batch is due by November 6, 2026, covering to the midweek of March 2-3, 2027.

Matches for March 5-8, 2027 will be set by February 5, 2027, with weekly updates thereafter looking four weeks ahead. Selections for the penultimate weekend will land three weeks in advance, and final-day fixtures are due the week before.
