Manchester United Women have had a very busy month of ins and outs.
They strengthened their first team significantly with the signings of Swedish duo Hanna Lundkvist and Ellen Wangerheim.
German striker Lea Schuller was also added to the squad. There were permanent departures for Rachel Williams, who went to Leicester, Keira Barry, who went to Bay FC, and Geyse, who moved to Club América.
United also loaned out some of their youngsters, as Emma Watson went to Tigres in Mexico, Lucy Newell went to Crystal Palace, Mared Griffiths to Sunderland, and Hannah Blundell to Everton.
The 20-year-old defender was on loan at Sunderland earlier in the season but struggled to get significant game time.
She was recalled to the club last month, and it has been decided that her future will be away from Manchester United.
The club’s official website reports, “we would like to wish Evie Rabjohn the best of luck for the future, as she completes a permanent transfer from Manchester United Women to Celtic.”
She made one appearance for the senior side in a 7-0 win over Everton in November 2023 in the League Cup.
Celtic’s official site also welcomed the news by stating, “Celtic FC Women are delighted to announce the signing of Evie Rabjohn on a two-and-a-half-year contract, the new Celt arriving after two years at Manchester United.”
Commenting on her move, she told the Scottish giants’ site, “I’m very excited to be here! I’m ready to play and show what I’m about. It’s a massive club, so I’m really, really happy.”
She continued, “coming to Celtic is an opportunity to fight for trophies, and titles. That is something that as a kid, you dream of. Having the opportunity to be able to do that is great and something that I am really looking forward to here.”

The club also announced that “Manchester United Women defender Scarlett Hill has joined second-tier side Sheffield United on an Academy dual registration loan for the remainder of the season.”
The 18-year-old has impressed at youth level and has been involved at various points in the senior squad over the last couple of seasons.
Hill will be able to play for Sheffield United but will also be able to represent Manchester United over the remaining months of the season.
