Evra tells Manchester United target he will do well at Arsenal

Manu Kone has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Manchester United this summer, but Patrice Evra believes a transfer to the Gunners would be the best option for the midfielder.

The Frenchman spent several years of his career playing for Manchester United and remains a strong supporter of the Red Devils. However, after watching Kone’s performances, Evra believes the midfielder would benefit more from joining Arsenal.

Kone impressed while representing France at the World Cup, and his performances attracted interest from several clubs. The AS Roma midfielder could leave the Italian side this summer, with Arsenal and Manchester United among the teams reportedly monitoring his situation.

Evra backs Arsenal move for Kone

Given his history with United, many would expect Evra to encourage Kone to move to Old Trafford. However, the former defender believes Mikel Arteta’s team would provide the ideal environment for the midfielder to continue developing.

Evra believes Arteta can help Kone reach his potential at club level and improve his overall game. The Arsenal manager’s approach and tactical system could allow the Frenchman to make the most of his qualities.

“I like Manu Kone’s profile for the Premier League. He has energy, he carries the ball, he likes duels and he works for the team.

“All of those things matter in England. The Premier League is faster. You don’t get time to breathe. So the important thing is adaptation. Don’t judge him after five games.

Kone praised for Premier League qualities

Evra highlighted the qualities that could make Kone a success in English football, including his physical ability, energy and willingness to contribute defensively.

The former Manchester United player believes the midfielder has the tools required to perform in the Premier League, but he also stressed the importance of patience and consistency after any potential move.

“If he goes to Arsenal with a manager who knows how to use him, I think he can do well. He definitely has the tools. Then it is about consistency.”

Kone’s future remains uncertain, but his profile has attracted attention from major Premier League clubs. While Manchester United continue to be linked with the midfielder, Evra believes Arsenal could be the perfect destination for him.
