Former striker Antonio Cassano has drawn a comparison between Serie A title contenders Inter Milan and Napoli.
During the latest episode of Viva El Futbol via FCInterNews, Cassano praised Inter’s individual quality.
Despite undergoing a managerial change in the summer, the 20-time Italian champions remain one of the hottest Scudetto candidates.
Indeed, new boss Cristian Chivu has exceeded expectations in the early stages of his regime at San Siro.
After losing twice in the opening three Serie A rounds, Inter have hit the ground running.
Chivu’s men have won five consecutive games in all competitions, including three in Serie A.
Therefore, they headed into the international break only three points adrift of leading duo Napoli and Roma.
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte’s men pulled off a second-half comeback to beat Genoa 2-1 last weekend.
In doing so, Napoli bounced back from a disappointing loss to 10-man AC Milan and returned to the top of the tree.
However, Antonio Cassano believes Inter are better suited to win the title this term.

“Individually, the Nerazzurri have a bit more than Napoli,” Cassano claimed. “Conte’s work elevates the Azzurri so they can compete for the title.”
Then, he hailed Inter’s thumping league win over newly promoted Cremonese last weekend.
“Inter completely dismantled Cremonese, who could do nothing but watch.”
Furthermore, Cassano praised Inter Milan backup strikers Ange-Yoan Bonny and Francesco Pio Esposito.
“Bonny is strong, as is Pio Esposito,” he added. “I repeat, individually, Inter is stronger than Napoli.”
Finally, he highlighted the individual quality of Hakan Calhanoglu and Manuel Akanji.
Both players have gone from strength to strength at the start of the new season.
Indeed, Calhanoglu has regained top form after a turbulent summer. Meanwhile, Akanji has seamlessly fit into Chivu’s system.
Therefore, it’s barely surprising that Inter Milan are keen to make his loan transfer from Manchester City permanent next summer.
“Nobody has a player like Calhanoglu, and Akanji is a phenomenon,” Cassano concluded.
