Antonio Cassano continues to lash out at former Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi, who joined Al-Hilal in June.
Speaking to Viva el Futbol via FCInter1908, Cassano slammed the 49-year-old for ‘not winning anything’ at San Siro.
The former AC Milan and Inter striker often spoke harshly of Simone Inzaghi during the latter’s tenure in Serie A.
Indeed, Cassano was never a fan of Inzaghi’s tactical rigidity and unwillingness to adapt when matches demanded flexibility.
Even when Inzaghi was still in Italy, Cassano minced no words, branding him predictable.
Furthermore, he frequently insisted the Nerazzurri underachieved despite boasting a superior squad.
However, the new Al-Hilal coach deserves the credit for guiding the club to a landmark 20th Scudetto.
Moreover, he helped Inter reach two Champions League finals in three years, though they lost each time.
Inzaghi is now part of Inter’s history, with Cristian Chivu taking over in the summer.

Despite Chivu’s underwhelming start, Cassano believes he has the quality to take Inter to another level.
“I know Cristian well,” he stated. “As a player, I don’t need to say much.
“He was phenomenal, a No.10 put in defense, with incredible quality. He could do whatever he wanted.
“As a coach, he took charge of Parma in a tough spot and saved them.
“At the Club World Cup, he had just arrived, players were exhausted and couldn’t give any more.
“The first match, when I saw Chivu on the bench, I thought: ‘Wow, at least he makes the wide center-backs press, he wants to win the ball high up and is willing to take risks.’
“Inter’s choice was Fabregas, that was the starting point.
“They wanted a coach who played football and pressed aggressively to win the ball back quickly.
“They wanted a change of identity compared to the previous four years, when the team sat deep behind the ball.
“Inter were much stronger, but they didn’t win anything.
“I have great faith in Chivu’s work, that he can establish himself and do well. Inter are the favorites.
