Jack Wilshere is dreaming of managing Luton Town in the Championship against Tottenham Hotspur next season
Jack Wilshere is focused on guiding Luton Town to the Championship, but the former Arsenal star has made it clear he has no sympathy for Tottenham Hotspur's current Premier League struggles.
Spurs are in genuine danger of being relegated to the second tier just one year on from winning the Europa League, and were beaten 3-1 by Crystal Palace on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Wilshere's Luton are preparing for their League One clash with fellow-playoff chasers Reading on Saturday.
The Hatters are on a four-game unbeaten run across all competitions, but haven't tasted victory in the third tier since their 2-1 win over Bradford City on 7 February.

Luton have struggled in recent seasons, suffering back-to-back relegations from the Premier League to League One, but Wilshere is aiming to steer the Kenilworth Road club to an immediate second-tier return via the play-offs.
During his press conference ahead of the Hatters' clash with Reading, the former Arsenal and England midfielder was asked: "Would the dream scenario for you next season to be managing Luton in the Championship against Tottenham?
Wilshere laughed as he replied: "The dream for me would be to manage Luton in the Championship. I watched a little bit of Tottenham last night. Believe it or not, a lot of my family are Tottenham fans and over the years we had some really good banter about it.
"At the moment, my only dream is to manage Luton in the Championship, and it might be against Tottenham."

Wilshere's latest comments have attracted attention thanks to his strong Arsenal affiliations and Tottenham's increasing relegation worries.
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old must guide Luton to a victory against Reading on Saturday to ensure that his side bolster their play-off chances with just 12 League One games remaining.
The Hatters showed their class when they managed consecutive victories against Blackpool and Bradford in late January and early February, but the Bedfordshire club have struggled for consistency since then.
Luton can be forgiven for their defeat against League One title hopefuls Cardiff City on 14 February, but their subsequent defeat against relegation-threatened Wigan Athletic was a major blip from Wilshere's men.
The Town boss was then in a heated dispute with supporters at Kenilworth Road following an underwhelming 1-1 draw with Burton Albion on 21 February.
Wilshere's men have not won in the third tier since then, instead enduring another draw with League Two-bound Port Vale last weekend.
More positively, the Hatters have made it to the EFL Trophy final thanks to wins over both Plymouth Argyle and Northampton Town, but they must now regain their form in League One.
Reading sit four points above Luton in the third-tier play-off hunt, and have enjoyed a five-game unbeaten run, including victories over Wigan, Wycombe Wanderers, and Bradford.
