Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has on Wednesday drawn comparisons with two of the greatest attackers in the club’s history.
This comes owing to his exploits in Barcelona’s meeting with Real Betis.
Hansi Flick’s troops are currently locked in action in the Copa del Rey, hosting Betis with a place in the competition’s quarter-finals on the line.
And, as things stand, the Blaugrana find themselves well on their way to the last eight.
This comes owing to goals on the part of Gavi, and Jules Koundé.
And yet, as alluded to above, it is another member of the hosts’ ranks who has stolen the headlines to this point in proceedings in Catalunya’s capital.
The player in question? Lamine Yamal.
Youngster Lamine has been in absolutely irresistible form down the Barcelona right, terrorising Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis backline.
So much so that, as alluded to above, a one-time member of the attacking ranks at the Camp Nou has moved to compare the 17-year-old to not one, but two Blaugrana icons.
Taking to his official ‘X’ account, Gerard Deulofeu unveiled a photo of Lamine, alongside the caption:
‘Is this the fusion of Neymar and Messi together?’
