Emiliano Viviano is adamant that Serie A title contenders Inter Milan are a better-looking team now than they were last season.
Speaking to TVPlay via FCInter1908, the former Nerazzurri goalkeeper hailed the club’s summer dealings.
It’s been a transitional transfer window for the 20-time Italian champions.
For starters, Simone Inzaghi left the club to take charge of Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al-Hilal.
Despite initially pursuing Cesc Fabregas, Inter eventually appointed Cristian Chivu as the new head coach.
Though it looked like a gamble, the 44-year-old amazed on his debut in Serie A as Inter demolished Torino 5-0.
Furthermore, summer signing Petar Sucic delivered a telling performance in his first league appearance for the Nerazzurri.
Interestingly, he was the only new face in the starting line-up compared to last season.
Therefore, it’s fair to say that Chivu has already changed Inter’s mentality after a disappointing 2024/25 campaign.

In addition to Sucic, Inter have signed Luis Henrique, Andy Diouf, and Ange-Yoan Bonny.
Moreover, Francesco Pio Esposito has returned from a season-long loan at Spezia.
However, he was unavailable for selection against Torino due to suspension, just like Hakan Calhanoglu.
Regardless, Inter put the Granata to the sword.
Now, Viviano praised the club’s transfer policy.
“How can they not be stronger than last year?” Viviano wondered. “If it had been a game like last year, it would have been the identical match.
“However, then Correa and Arnautovic would have come on, and nothing else would have happened.
“They haven’t sold any players, and they’ve brought in Sucic, Diouf, Luis Henrique, Bonny, and Esposito.”
After silencing his detractors, Chivu must now prove the win over Torino was more than just beginner’s luck.
Indeed, Inter will host Udinese at San Siro next weekend in their final outing before September’s international break.
