Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Jasond Gonzalez continued his red-hot form in the Chinese League One, finding the back of the net once again on Saturday.
The Colombian Centre-forward scored the crucial solitary goal of the match as his team, SJZ Gongfu, edged Shenzen Juniors.
Gonzalez's side is in fifth place on the Chinese second-tier standings, having accumulated 44 points from 27 league matches in the 16-team championship.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old has impressed with five goals to his name and two assists in 12 games played.
He was lured to Asia on a season-long loan from Bolivian side Club Always Ready this year in July and is expected to return to his parent club when his loan deal expires in December 2025.
Remarkably, Gonzalez was in contention for the Golden Boot in South America, having netted 11 goals in 13 league matches.
This comes on the back of a tumultuous loan spell at Chiefs, where he failed to make the net bulge in 13 matches across all competitions.
It remains to be seen whether Gonzalez will stay put in China, provided the Chinese team is interested on a permanent deal, as he extended his contract with the 2020 Bolivian champions prior to leaving.
