Forward Joaquin Correa is still a doubt to be fit for Inter Milan in Monday’s Serie A match against Como.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Inter take on Como in Serie A to round off the weekend.
The Nerazzurri host their newly-promoted Lombard rivals at the San Siro on Monday evening.
And there will be a few players absent from the Inter squad due to injury.
Midfielder Nicolo Barella is a major doubt. And there is no doubt that defenders Francesco Acerbi and Benjamin Pavard will be absent. As will third-choice goalkeeper Raffaele Di Gennaro.
But then there is one other player who could also be on the sidelines.
Correa picked up a knock in training last week.
That saw the former Lazio, Sevilla, and Sampdoria forward miss Inter’s Coppa Italia match against Udinese.
And according to Tuttosport, Correa may also be out for Monday’s match.
The Argentine has somewhat worked his way back into the team this season.
Correa was widely expected to leave Inter during the summer transfer window. However, he stayed at the club due to a lack of suitable offers.
And the 30-year-old has made a few substitute appearances this campaign. Moreover, he started against Hellas Verona, scoring one and assisting two goals.
