Former Leeds United loanee Connor Wickham is in the PFA free agent pre-season squad as he looks for a new club.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the PFA hosts unattached players each summer, staging friendlies for scouts, with week three starting on Monday and 45 involved.
Wickham, now 33, joined Leeds on a six-month loan from Sunderland in February 2014, aiming for regular football under Brian McDermott. Three years earlier he had moved to Sunderland for £8m with England ambitions.
McDermott felt he had significant potential, but after taking the No 9 shirt his impact was limited. The England Under-21 forward made only five Championship appearances without scoring and was recalled after four weeks.
He signed for Crystal Palace in 2015 for £7m and spent six years at Selhurst Park, including a loan at Sheffield Wednesday. Later spells included Preston North End, Cardiff City and Charlton Athletic, and last season Dubai City.
The PFA group also includes former Elland Road target Fernando Forestieri, who clashed with Massimo Cellino during a collapsed 2015 move from Watford. He instead joined Sheffield Wednesday, starred against Leeds in January 2016 and later referenced the episode on social media.
