Multiple reports in Italy claim Stefano Pioli will sign a three-year contract with Al-Ittihad today, so he’ll meet Inter next month in a friendly at the U-Power Stadium in Monza.
Ex-Milan coach Pioli, a Serie A winner in 2021-22, is set to be appointed by Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Parma-born tactician has practically reached full agreement with the Saudi team, so he’s expected to sign his contract today.
This means the Italian tactician will coach some European stars such as Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante.
Al-Ittihad have already parted company with Marcelo Gallardo, and Pioli is ready to replace the Argentinean.
Al-Ittihad won the domestic title in 2022-23 but finished fifth last season.
The Saudi team have already scheduled a friendly match with Inter on August 7 at the U-Power Stadium in Monza, so Pioli will soon meet his ex-city rivals, against whom he lost the last six meetings.
