Inter have not quite won all of their matches in the Champions League this season.

The Nerazzurri drew away to Manchester City in their opening match in the competition.

However, wins over the likes of Red Star Belgrade, Young Boys, and Arsenal followed. And then Inter kept that run going with a victory over Leipzig this week.

That win took Inter second in the Champions League table, behind only Liverpool.

Inter are certainly in a strong position to directly qualify for the round of sixteen of the competition.

But that doesn’t mean that Inter can take anything for granted just yet.

The Nerazzurri have three more matches to go. Next month, they face another Bundesliga team, this time taking on Bayer Leverkusen away in Germany.

Then in January Inter take on the likes of Sparta Prague and Monaco.

Piotr Zielinski: “Inter Want To Win Our Next Three Champions League Matches”

After Tuesday’s win over Leipzig, Zielinski said that “I’m very happy.”

“Especially with the win that gives us a lot,” the Polish former Napoli midfielder said.

“Now we want to keep going like this.”

“We have three matches left to go,” Zielinski noted of Inter’s remaining matches in the campaign.

“We want to win all three. Then we can ensure that we reach the round of sixteen.”

“We’ve done a great job so far,” Zielinski added.

“Now we have to keep going the same way.”

Zielinski won the UEFA Player of the Match award against Leipzig on Tuesday.

The Pole did not score or assist a goal. But his technical ability was vital for Inter controlling the match in midfield.
