Midfielder Piotr Zielinski is ready to make his debut for Inter Milan in this weekend’s Serie A clash with Lecce.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They also report that defender Stefan de Vrij is targeting the following match against Atalanta.

Zielinski was one of three Inter players not to be part of the squad for last weekend’s Serie A opener away to Genoa.

The Polish international had picked up an injury in preseason. After a positive start to the summer, he suffered a thigh strain during Inter’s friendly match against Pisa.

However, Zielinski has now made a full recovery.

The 30-year-old has healed from his injury, and is in full training with the rest of the squad. He will take the next couple days to regain match sharpness.

Zielinski made the high profile move to Inter on a free transfer from Napoli during the summer transfer window.

And it now looks as though the Pole will finally be able to feature in a Nerazzurri shirt.

Zielinski is hardly likely to play from the start in Inter’s next match.

The Nerazzurri host Lecce in their first home match of the Serie A season, and their second overall.

However, the 30-year-old will at least be able to be on the bench for the clash. There is every chance that he will get out on the pitch in front of the San Siro crowd.

The same is not true of defender de Vrij, however.

The Dutchman, like Zielinski, missed Inter’s Serie A opener against Genoa due to a thigh straion.

And de Vrij still has a little way to go in his recovery process.

But the Gazzetta report that de Vrij is hoping to be ready for Inter’s match the following weekend, away to Atalanta.

And for wingback Tajon Buchanan, the Gazzetta report, the timeline remains that he could return to training in late October or in November.
