Former Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro guided AIK Fotboll to a massive 4-0 victory over Hacken in the Swedish Cup on Sunday.
The Spanish mentor saw his troops advance to the Svenska Cupen quarter-finals after topping Group 7 with six points from three matches.
With the competition divided into eight groups comprising of four teams each, the table-toppers progress to the knockout stages.
Riveiro took over the reins in January, putting to bed rumours linking him with a return to the Betway Premiership and the Bafana Bafana hotseat after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
This comes after the 50-year-old tactician endured a tumultuous spell with Egyptian giants Al Ahly, where he was axed just three months into the job.
The Celta Vigo native registered a solitary victory in the seven matches he oversaw at the record 12-time African champions.
In contrast, Riveiro enjoyed significant success with Pirates, leading the team to five domestic cup titles during his tenure.
Meanwhile, AIK and Riveiro return to action with a clash against GAIS in the last eight of the tournament, with their league opener scheduled for Sunday, 05 April.
