The Welsh international swapped North for South London in January but has yet to make his mark for Crystal Palace, failing to score in his first 18 games for the Eagles

Tonight, he had a golden opportunity to both end that drought and do his former side a huge favour against West Ham.

Tyrick Mitchell cut in from the left and whipped a fine ball into the box. With the goal at his mercy and no defender near him, Johnson got his angles all wrong, heading the ball several yards wide.

To add to his woes, he was then booked for a blatant foul on El Hadji Malick Diouf.

Needless to say, social media has had something to say.

Can he make amends in the second half?
