Ex-Vasco midfielder in as Chapada near full squad for 2026 Mato-Grossense

Chapada are stepping up preparations for the 2026 Campeonato Mato-Grossense, their debut in the state’s top tier. Following their Second Division title, Junior Madeira stays on and is leading a near-complete squad build.
According to Globo.com, the group already includes goalkeeper Rômulo Rios, centre-back Marcão and midfielder Barra, plus forwards Jonas, Tiarinha, Gabriel Henrique and Carlos Eduardo. Midfield also features Daniel and ex-Vasco man Jean Patrick. Further signings could still arrive before kick-off.
Goalkeepers Endrio, 25, and academy graduate Pedro, 18, are also in. At the back, Roni, 24, Bennê, 26, and Vitor Hugo, 22, join alongside veteran Rafael Carioca, 42.
The flanks are covered by Yuri, 18, Christian, 28, and left-back Jhonkaemerson, 27.
Holding options include André, 28, Felipe Alves, 22, Léo, 26, and youth product Marcos Paulo, 18, adding depth in midfield.
Up front, standout arrival Carlos Henrique, 30, featured in 12 matches and scored five goals in 2025, having previously represented Juventude, Figueirense, Luverdense, Sinop, Londrina, Sport, Grêmio Novorizontino, Cascavel, Paraná, Avenida, Noroeste, Inter de Limeira, Concórdia and Sorriso.
Chapada begin on 10 January away to Primavera, a meeting of the Second and First Division champions. The first home game follows against Mixto at Estádio Apolônio Bouret de Melo.
