Jordan Graham has been hospitalised following a serious road accident

Former Birmingham City and Wolves star Jordan Graham is receiving treatment in hospital after being involved in a serious road accident.

The 31-year-old has not played since 2025 after a two-year stint with Leyton Orient, which essentially put an end to a career that began in 2013.

The winger came through the Aston Villa academy, and ended up signing for Wolves in 2015 after an initial loan spell at the club.

After five years at Molineux, with a number of loan spells in that period, he signed for Gillingham, before making the switch to Birmingham in 2021.

Graham’s last appearance came in a 2-0 loss to Huddersfield on 26 November 2024, coming off the bench for the O’s.

He played eight times in League One in 2024/25, with Richie Wellens’ side earning a place in the play-off final before the forward departed at the end of his two-year contract.

The Professional Footballers’ Association has released a statement to confirm that Graham has been hospitalised as the result of a serious road accident.

They have forwarded on the family’s message of thanks for support, and that they are now seeking privacy on the matter as he continues his recovery from the incident.

“Earlier this month, Jordan Graham was involved in a serious road traffic accident and is currently receiving specialist treatment in hospital,” wrote the PFA, via X.

“His family are incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving.

“They respectfully ask for privacy and that people refrain from contacting them directly while they focus entirely on Jordan and his recovery.

“Further information will only be provided when appropriate.”

Graham began his career as part of the Aston Villa academy system, and this led to him going out on loan to Ipswich Town, Bradford City and Wolves in the early stages of his career.

However, he found game time to be limited in each of these stints, yet he earned a permanent move to Molineux in 2015.

The winger made 11 appearances for the Old Gold in 2015/16 in the Championship, contributing one goal and five assists.

But injuries plagued his time with the club, and he made just one more appearance for Wolves in the league after that, before sealing loan moves to Oxford United, Fulham, Ipswich and then a return to the U’s.

Fans have praised his character, and are hoping that he will be able to recover from this incident quickly.

Supporters have shown their gratitude for his attitude during his time at both clubs, even if he was in and out of the side due to fitness issues.

Graham played 49 times across two league campaigns for Birmingham from 2021 to 2023.

Graham has endured a lot of misfortune in his career, and in particular knee issues have prevented him from reaching his full potential.

Everyone will be hoping that he can make a speedy recovery from what sounds like a difficult incident.

That he has fans from multiple clubs all speaking out to praise his character and attitude shows is a testament to him as a professional and a person.
