SCO Angers forward Sidiki Chérif (18) is attracting interest from Europe’s top leagues, Get French Football News understands. 

Chérif has had an excellent start to the season for Angers, netting three goals in Ligue 1. The forward has had to bide his time, having made his breakthrough at 16, before being struck down by several injury issues. However, the departure of Esteban Lepaul in the summer, coupled with Le Sco’s inability to recruit a replacement due to a strict DNCG ruling on the club’s wage bill, provided a route to regular first-team football for Chérif, as well as Peter Prosper, who also has three league goals to his name this season.

Chérif’s contract with Angers runs until the summer of 2028, but Get French Football News understands that he is attracting interest from across Europe. The France youth international is being followed by clubs in England, Spain, and Germany.
