FC Barcelona boast one of the most talented young squads in Europe. The team is filled with players who are either already among the best in the world or well on their way to reaching that level. There are not many aging players in the squad who require replacing.
One exception, however, is veteran striker Robert Lewandowski. The Polish international remains a lethal presence in front of goal at 36, but with only 12 months left on his current contract, Barça are beginning to look ahead to a long-term successor.

Sempre Barca has learned that Barcelona are positioning themselves as serious contenders for Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic. Sources confirm that the club has already made contact with the Serbian striker’s entourage, laying the groundwork for a potential move next summer.
The 25-year-old is now entering the final year of his Juventus contract, which expires in June 2026. This places both the player and the club in a decisive position: Juve are willing to negotiate if a suitable offer arrives this summer, while Barça see the possibility of securing him on a free transfer next year as an ideal, low-cost solution.
According to those close to the player, Vlahovic is receptive to Barcelona’s interest and would be open to donning the Blaugrana shirt if the opportunity arises.

Juventus, despite holding Vlahovic under contract until 2026, are reportedly keen to trim their wage bill and reshape the squad. His sale is viewed as a strategic step, particularly as the Bianconeri continue to chase PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani to reinforce the attack.
While a cut-price deal before the summer deadline cannot be ruled out, Barcelona’s financial limitations under La Liga’s Financial Fair Play rules mean a free transfer in 2026 is far more aligned with Deco’s sporting project.
Vlahovic has proven himself to be a reliable goalscorer in Serie A during his time at Fiorentina and Juventus. However, as a long-term successor to Lewandowski, he might not be the ideal option for Barcelona next season.
Much will depend on Barcelona’s finances next summer and whether they are in a position to pursue a marquee striker. For now, the reported interest in Vlahovic feels more exploratory, so it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
