The Blues are set to add to their backroom team
Birmingham City have added Micky Moore to their backroom team, FLW understands.
The former Shrewsbury Town boss will be working under head of recruitment, Joe Carnall at St Andrew’s.
It is understood that Moore will be concentrating on providing support to the club, paying particular attention to outgoing transfers.
Birmingham are still adding to their numbers as they look to fill out several roles within their recruitment structure.
Recently, several scouting positions have been filled as the club maintains its forward momentum.
Moore is no stranger to the area, having been assistant manager at non-league Solihull Moors back in 2016.
He has also been involved at both Cheltenham Town and latterly with the Shrews where he was director of football before leaving his post in August this year.
A source told FLW: “Micky has extensive knowledge, particularly in Leagues One and Two. He will be providing support to the head of recruitment.”
It's been an interesting period for the Blues in the Championship of late as they sit middle of the pack in 12th spot.
Chris Davies' side have lost three of their last five second tier matches as pressure gradually builds on the Blues boss.
The Midlands outfit's blushes were saved in the 99th minute by Demarai Gray on Tuesday night as his late equaliser meant they managed to grab a draw against struggling Sheffield Wednesday at St Andrew's.
