The former Shrewsbury Town boss will be working under head of recruitment, Joe Carnall at St Andrew’s.

It is understood that Moore will be concentrating on providing support to the club, paying particular attention to outgoing transfers.

Birmingham are still adding to their numbers as they look to fill out several roles within their recruitment structure.

New addition at Birmingham City

Recently, several scouting positions have been filled as the club maintains its forward momentum.

Moore is no stranger to the area, having been assistant manager at non-league Solihull Moors back in 2016.

He has also been involved at both Cheltenham Town and latterly with the Shrews where he was director of football before leaving his post in August this year.

A source told FLW: “Micky has extensive knowledge, particularly in Leagues One and Two. He will be providing support to the head of recruitment.”
