At least 10 serious bidders are looking to take over Sheffield Wednesday
EFL pundit Don Goodman believes that the fact Sheffield Wednesday aren't deprived of prospective bidders is "exciting news."
The former Wolves and West Brom striker has always been optimistic about the interest in the purchase of the Hillsborough-based side, but the obstinate mindset of Dejphon Chansiri to not sell for anything below £100 million stopped them from coming forward.
Now the club's in administration, meaning more reasonable bids can come in, as long as the bidders can show proof of £50 million in funds to carry the club forward over the coming years.
The i have reported that the first bids for Sheffield Wednesday are set to come in as early as the end of this week, and there are at least 10 "very serious" potential owners registering their interest.
It won't be long until the Owls are under new ownership, a day that a lot of Wednesdayites didn't see coming for a long time.

In an exclusive interview with Football League World, Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman gave his views on this latest report.
Ultimately, Sheffield Wednesday is a lucrative prospect, as they're a club steeped in history with a passionate fanbase and plenty of scope to improve.
Goodman feels that, if the new owner comes in, understands this and gives them the backing to go and climb, they'll be heralded as a hero inside Hillsborough.
"It's absolutely exciting news for Sheffield Wednesday," Goodman said. "It had gotten to the point where it couldn't have gotten any worse, really.
"It's a huge club with a massive fanbase, an old traditional stadium which generates an incredible atmosphere, and the person who gets things right for that football club is on to a winner, there's no doubt about it.
"The fans have suffered over the past few years, and they deserve an owner who cares, one who will be ambitious and wants to invest — they're craving that.
"And like I've always said, there was going to be serious interest in Sheffield Wednesday, as it was always an incredible prospect."
Wednesday fans have had to bide their time for this day to come, and they're almost there. If the new owner can come in and be committed, it'll be an ideal scenario for them.

After a seven-month period where wages were delayed for five of those, leading to disgruntled players walking away from their contracts, this has been a long time coming for Wednesday fans, and some still can't believe it themselves.
Many thought that the Owls were doomed, but there's finally light at the end of the tunnel, and Wednesday fans are close to getting out on the other side.
According to The Guardian, clubs have to remain on the market in administration for 28 days, so there'll still be a little bit of time to wait until Sheffield Wednesday have a new owner, but in the meantime, it's a cause for excitement.
Wednesday fans can sit back and watch as those who are interested come forward and stake their claim for the ownership of the club. Mike Ashley has reportedly shown interest, but with at least 10 coming forward, it really could be anybody.
