In an interview with Foot Africa, Tunisian coach Ridha Jeddi revealed his top picks for ultimate glory at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025).
Morocco clearly seems to be in pole position, thanks to its status as host nation and a well-rounded squad. Behind them, Algeria, Egypt, Senegal, and Nigeria all present strong cases. Ivory Coast, as the reigning champions, also have a major advantage. As for Tunisia, they appear more as outsiders, with few assets in their favor according to predictions.
AFCON 2025 groups
The draw for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025) placed the 16 qualified teams into the following four groups:
Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros.
Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe.
Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania.
Group D: Senegal, Democratic Republic of Congo, Benin, Botswana.
Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan.
