As we’ve discussed over the last few weeks, 22-year-old Hellas Verona winger Giovane is making a strong impression in Italy in what is his first season in Serie A, and is now beginning to attract the interest of some of the league’s biggest clubs including Inter and Napoli.
The Brazilian winger, who joined Verona on a free transfer at the start of the summer, is currently valued in the region of €15m by his current employers, who would realistically seek a fee of €20m including bonuses as things stand.
Given the player’s qualities, however, Verona feel that that valuation will only increase over time.

There are several clubs who are monitoring Giovane closely, though, particularly Inter, who have been in contact with the player’s agent through director Piero Ausilio. Napoli are also monitoring Giovane and are awaiting a final decision.
There could be further developments, though, as Roma head coach Gian Piero Gasperini is very interested in the 22-year-old given his qualities on the ball and his potential to develop into a first-team star.
In short, Giovane is a diamond in the rough, who will only continue to shine brighter and brighter. And Roma are expected to make moves in January given that they are in need of a centre-forward and a winger.
